About WAHHI’s Youth Community Service Awards:  The Women’s Association’s Youth Community Service Award Program has been the organization’s most visible community effort through the years. In over 41 years of Youth Awards, the program has morphed to recognize local outstanding graduating high school seniors who excel at community service. The number and amount of awards presented each year depend on the amount of money available in the WAHHI treasury at the end of the fiscal year. Well over 100 students have been recognized since the program’s inception in 1980, and thousands of dollars have been awarded.
