Since our founding in 1961, WAHHI has made generous donations to projects that benefit our community. In 2016, we established the WAHHI Charitable Fund administered by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. Since then, we have awarded grants to local nonprofits to support specific program needs for the community. The grants will encourage and recognize programs that respond to the ever-changing needs of our community through innovative approaches to meet community challenges. This year we are specifically wanting to support educational programs that aim to improve the lives of women and children. We urge you to be creative in your responses, i.e., can the program connect WAHHI women who wish to volunteer; is there an opportunity to collaborate on the project with other nonprofits? |
