    Chef Josh Castillo is from the delicious French restaurant Charlie’s L’Etoile Verte in Hilton Head. Chef Castillo will treat us to a demonstration and magnificent hors d’oeuvres for a fun, delicious evening!

    • You are invited to come and play afternoon for a spring crafternoon!  We are getting creative with outdoor garden wood crafts.
       
    • You have two project choices when RSVPing by February 25th - 
      (1) painted garden totem pole OR 
      (2) wooden painted fence fish.
      No experience necessary!  

    • $20 payable in advance for your supplies fee payable to Tamra Avrit (at the location address) to mail or drop off. 

      Bring a chair, a drink and/or snack, and wear clothes you are okay getting dirty! We will be outside and in the garage.

      After this meeting, we have only one more "official" meeting for this year - Monday, April 6th. Hope you can come in March.

    "The Gullah Diva," Chef Sallie Ann Robinson is a sixth-generation native of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. Chef Robinson is known for her culinary expertise coupled with her ongoing efforts to preserve the legacy of the Gullah culture. Please note, the March 23rd date is the rescheduled event date from the previously announced February 18th event.

    About Sallie Ann Robinson

    Chef Robinson has published three cookbooks and has been featured in many magazine articles and television shows. In October 2010, Chef Robinson was invited by Smithsonian National Museum of African Arts to lecture on Gullah heritage and provide a cooking demonstration. Her latest cookbook, Sallie Ann Robinson's Kitchen: Food and Family Lore from the Lowcountry was published in 2019. Her cookbook will be available for purchase.
